Seniors please beware. This message from Powell River RCMP Sgt. Kevin Day. There seems to be scam artists phoning elderly in the area, and law enforcement wants residents to be careful.
Day adds you can also go to the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre on line, to help you confirm whether or not the phone call you received is a current or on going scam. If you get a phone call , and are unsure if the caller is legitimate – do not give out any personnel information! Just hang up , and call authorities.
