Operations are ramping up in preparation for the 2016 Powell River Logger Sports.
Spokesperson Laura Passek says she hopes the summer event is a huge hit.
There will be one national championship, 2 world championships and 8 Canadian championships at the event, along with many other things to see, including chainsaw carvings and displays.
Logger Sports takes place in Powell River July 15th to the 17th. Organizers are also holding a fundraising hot dog sale on May 6th outside the Scotiabank on Alberni Street.
