The Mayor of Powell River says the future of the city will include new and innovative industries.
True Health Company is in the pre-licence phase with Health Canada to set up a medical marijuana production facility in the old Catalyst admin building.
Dave Formosa says this project took three years to get underway and is an example of some of the projects being worked on.
Formosa says the future will include bringing new and innovative industries to Powell River and there is lots of work going on to make that a reality.
