RCMP investigating Sunshine Coast Highway crash

A Surrey woman is out of the hospital now, after surviving an incredible crash on the Sunshine Coast Highway. The crash happened on November 23rd.

The car plunged 40 feet off the road and over a waterfall, landing on its side in the middle of a creek, with the driver s side of the car under the water.

Constable Harrison Mohr says the driver managed to free herself from the driver seat and survived for more than 3 hours before she was rescued.

Mohr says the driver spent nearly a week in the hospital and she was treated for a broken nose, a concussion hypothermia, and some soft tissue damage.
