And for Vancouver island, the unemplyment rate stayed steady from 5.3 in November to 5.4 in December
coastfmnews caught up with Huges about the year end numbers…..
The unemployment average in British Columbia has gone down to 5.4 from 5.8, this makes it the lowest since 2008.
But Hughes says that can be misleading…..
Career LInk is working with VIU to make 2 programs available. There’s the Aboriginals in Trades Training, which is for both women and men of Aboriginal descent, and the Women in Trades Training. These are 12 week funded programs starting Jan 26th and going until April 17th.
