38-year-old Jeremy Tanaka from Port Hardy has been confirmed to be the logger who passed away during a logging operation near Port McNeil.

BC Coroners Service spokesperson Matt Brown says Tanaka was employed as a tree faller on a logging operation out of port McNeil when he was unfortunately struck by a tree that was up slope from where he was working.

 

The family of Tanaka has been notified of his death, and B.C. Coroners Service, RCMP and Worksafe B.C. continue their investigation
