Powell River is brown bagging it again!! It is the 5 th province wide BC Thanksgiving Food Drive this weekend and spokesperson Bill Norris hopes the bags will be full, and more volunteers will help out. Volunteers delivered flyers and the bags throughout the community and they will be collected this Saturday and divided up by 3 different organizations.
Norris says that unopened, non perishable items are greatly appreciated, as the 3 groups rely solely on public donations. He adds that you can also drop the bags off at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day saints between the hours of 9 am and 2 in the afternoon as well. Norris says that volunteers are still needed and to help out – please call him at 483 2164.
