POWELL RIVER, B.C. – Patrick Brabazon has once again been elected Chair of the qathet Regional District Board for 2019.
At the inaugural meeting of the Board held on Nov. 6, pursuant to provisions prescribed in the Local Government Act, Brabazon was acclaimed as Chair.
Director Sandy McCormick, from Electoral Area D (Texada Island), made the nomination.
There were no other nominations.
Brabazon hails from Electoral Area A.
This marks the fifth year in a row that the Board of Directors have looked to Brabazon for his leadership.
This is also after having four new faces join the Board of seven directors due to the outcome of the recent general election.
