Minister of Veterans Affairs meets with North-Island Powell River Conservative candidate

Canada’s Veterans Affairs Minister recently made a visit to British Columbia.

Erin O’Toole says he was meeting with North-Island Powell River Conservative candidate Laura Smith and Courtenay-Alberni’s John Duncan.

Together they hosted various question and answer periods to focus on the state of veteran affairs leading up to this year’s Federal election.

He says one of those new needs is mental health care for veterans and their families.

O’Toole adds there’s a lot of momentum in BC and on the Island going into this year’s election.

He adds the goal going into the vote is to keep a stable economy and keep Canada safe and strong.

Canadians head to the polls on October 19th.
