POWELL RIVER, B.C. – The Powell River Villa remain the top dogs of division two of the Vancouver Island Soccer League (VISL).

The Villa beat Bays United at Timberlane Park on Saturday afternoon. Richard Murphy scored the winning goal, and Tony Presedo recorded a shut-out for the home team. Powell River won 1-0.

Up next for the Villa is a meeting with Nanaimo United on Sunday, Dec. 9th.

This weekend’s matchup will be the team’s last before the 2018 winter break.

The Villa have 25 points through 12 games this season.
