NDP promises federal funding for BC Ferries

Many people in our community depend on ferries every day, for transportation, work the economy, and general travel.

So the NDP says they will allow BC Ferries to access federal funding.

North-Island Powell River candidate Rachel Blaney says access to federal infrastructure funding would help reduce ferry costs.

She says they want to make sure BC has the option to make BC Ferries a priority for the province this year with this funding.

With this change, BC Ferries will be able to apply through the provincial government for federal funding under the $14-billion New Building Canada Fund.
