Crews assigned for Texada Island outages

TEXADA ISLAND, B.C- The lights will stay off for Texada Island residents for a while yet.

Across the Sunshine Coast area, power restoration work is continuing after yesterday’s intense windstorm. Across Texada Island, there have been multiple outages reported, and crews are responding to the area.

The following is a list of all the areas impacted by outages.

Area 1: West of Van Anda

CRESCENT BAY RD P22, CRESCENT BAY RD P54, CRESCENT BAY RD P59/2, 400 – 4000 block CRESCENT BAY RD, TYLER RD P4, CRESCENT BAY RD P42, P32 CRESCENT BAY RD, CRESCENT BAY RD P32, CRESCENT BAY RD P24, CRESCENT BAY ROAD P59/2…. Wire down, 40 people affected in total.

A crew has been assigned.

Area 2: Blubber Bay

West of Powell R-Texada Ferry , North of BC CEMENT RD. Cause, wind storm. 13 people affected.  
Area 3: Van Anda

1900 block BLUBBER BAY RD, 2000 block GILLIES BAY RD, 2000 block, 5000 block COPPER QUEEN St, and North-East of GILLIES BAY RD, South of OLIVE AVE. ST.

A crew has been assigned.

Area 4: Gilles Bay

4200 – 4300 block SANDERSON RD, SANDERSON RD P33. Wind storm
