The playwright and performer of “Jake’s Gift” says the story has 2 different perspectives. Julia Mackey explains how an old man and a young girl connect during this performance.
Mackey says the story came about from her trip to Normandy for the 60 th anniversary of D Day. She had earlier started writing about 3 brothers from the Prairies and their experiences in the Second World War., but felt there was so much more to the tale in France. The show is at the Max Cameron Theatre for tonight only and it starts at 7 30, with a meet and greet after the performance
