POWELL RIVER, B.C. – Voters will head to the polls in April.
A by-election is set for the City of Powell River’s council. The by-election will take place on Saturday, April 6th, 2019.
Following last October’s municipal election, a petition was brought forward to the B.C. Supreme Court by Allan Drummond. Drummond lost out for a council seat by only two votes to George Doubt.
Following review, it was determined that there was enough evidence to support a by-election. Doubt’s council seat was later vacated.
