Theft From Walmart

On October 27th at approximately 5:45 PM, an employee of Walmart caught a female shoplifter who had attempted to push a shopping cart full of unpaid merchandise through the main entrance to the store.   The shoplifter abandoned all the merchandise which was valued at $550 dollars and departed prior to police arrival.  The Powell River RCMP are attempting to locate the female with the assistance of the mall and Walmart’s video surveillance.

Wallet Taken From The Complex

On October 28th a wallet was taken from an unlocked locker in the men’s change room at the Powell River Complex.

Mischief To Vehicle

On October 29th at approximately 5:45 PM, someone threw a rock at a vehicle while it drove past Brooks Secondary School on Marine Avenue.  The rock impacted with the vehicles windshield causing it to break.  The driver was extremely surprised by the incident was able to drive home and immediately called the RCMP.  To date no suspect(s) have been identified.

Theft Of Two Outboard Motors

Within the past Month two outboard engines were taken from a locked shed on Stustus Road.   The motors were described as:

(1) Black Mercury 15hp.

(2) Blue Nissan 8hp.
