Powell River City Council is looking for young people to sit on their Youth Council. City Councillor CaroleAnn Leishman says it’s a chance for youth to get experience sitting on a committee.
She says youth will be provided guidance from Councillors on how meetings work. But she adds the Youth Council will set their own agendas and decide what issues are important to them.
The Youth Council is open to youths ages 13 to 23. You can apply by filling out the questionnaire on the city’s website.
