The Vice-chair of the Strathcona Regional District says something needs to be done to address staffing issues on BC Ferries.
Jim Abram says several sailings have been cancelled over the last month because staff members have called in sick and ferries couldn’t find a replacement.
He says this isn’t something new, and staffing issues have been a topic of discussion for the last 3 years.
Abram and other community members met with the local Ferry Advisory Chair earlier today to discuss their concerns.
