Logging operations receive recognition from the Forest Practices Board

The Forest Practices Board has recognized some notable practices in logging operations on the North Island. Board chair Tim Ryan says a recent audit of Western Forest Products operations in the Campbell River District found two practices that impressed the auditors.

He says one is an electronic bridge registry to track each structure, with the other being a train assessment process.

Ryan says it’s important to the board to recognize notable practices so that other operators can adopt those practices across the province.
