Wounded Warrior Run brings out major community support

The Wounded Warrior Run BC participants make their way to Nanaimo today.

Runners stopped off in the Comox Valley yesterday – on route to Victoria.

Founder of the annual event, Allan Kobayashi, says the biggest theme this year is human connections and human interactions. He says the small communities that they’ve passed through have showcased some major support, cheering on the runners as they roll along.

The run helps raise funds for PTSD research as well as raise awareness for  Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and other mental health issues affecting veterans and first responders.

The run wraps up this weekend in Victoria.
