Students to compete in Skills Canada competition

Students from Central Vancouver Island and the Sunshine Coast region will be competing in the Skills Canada regional competition tomorrow.

They will have the chance to show off their culinary, hair dressing, carpentry skills and more.

The Associate Dean, Trades and Applied Technology with VIU, Jessie Chalmers noted that the competition will be a great learning experience for the students.

Chalmers says there’s lots on the line for the kids.

The Vancouver Island North competition goes next week at G.P. Vanier in Courtenay. For more on the competition, visit the event website.
