The Powell River Regional District has approved its 2016 financial plan.
CAO Al Radke says the budget has a lot of little things focused on maintaining sustainability and current infrastructure. He notes the District will be doing some upgrades, including on local sewer systems.
Radke says one item in the budget is a plan to look at organics diversion to continue the move toward zero-waste. He says they will be working with the city to develop a program to keep organics out of the landfill.
