This year is the District of Sechelt’s 30th anniversary.
Mayor Bruce Milne says in order for the district to keeping improving itself, self identity is crucial.
Milne also says people will also need to be open minded. He notes that it’s important to be open to change so the area can reach its full potential as a community.
He says it’s only with a clear identity that a strong foundation can be built and the region can move forward.
He says another thing that will be important for them is to have long term plans for the District.
