Geosciences BC has received $5-million for mineral and gas surveys across British Columbia.
President and CEO of the Nanwakolas Council and Geoscience BC Director Dallas Smith says the funding will go towards more independent studies, which will hopefully lead to more investments in the mining and natural gas industries.
Smith says it’s important for organizations like Geoscience BC to be impartial and to gather as much scientific data as possible so First Nations, governments, and organizations can make the best decisions.
