The head of emergency preparedness for the regional district is updating local governments on the Regional Community Wildfire Protection Plan.
An update was presented to city council at Committee of the Whole this week.
Ryan Thoms says the are working on further public education and mitigation measures, including plans to apply for grant funding for further trail management.
Thoms says they are also looking at getting a structure protection unit for the region that departments in the region could use.
