After an 11-year hiatus, Logger Sports in returning to Powell River, and the new amphitheatre’s name reflects the impact the event has had on the community.
The Logger’s Memorial Bowl will hold events at Willingdon Beach for Powell River residents and visitors. Mayor Dave Formosa says the name recognizes the importance of Logger Sports in the region.
A committee of about 20 people came up with the name for the new facility.
Logger Sports makes its return to Powell River next weekend (July 15th to 17th).
