New bus route made for Powell River students this fall

With the school year on its way, the bus service in Powell River will have some changes.

Earlier this week the city, qathet Regional District, and BC Transit announced that a new route has been made for students to take.

It’s Route 9 Brooks School, which will replace the trips that would normally be put on Route 1.

Route 12 will run on a year-round schedule, while Route 14 will revert to fall and winter service.

These changes will take place on Tuesday September 5, right after Labour Day Weekend.
