The City of Powell River is moving forward on the issue of affordable housing in the community.
A meeting is being held Tuesday, October 25th to bring various stakeholders together. Councillor Maggie Hathaway is helping to organize the event.
She says the work is a follow-up on the work done on the Community Social Plan. She notes one need that has been identified is to increase the rental housing stock.
Hathaway says anyone interested in the issue of housing is welcomed to attend.
The meeting is taking place at the Powell River Rec Complex at 12:00 PM tomorrow.
