Powell River fire rescue was busy this weekend with more than a dozen call-outs.
Deputy Chief Rocky Swanson says the calls included a beach fire, a battery fire and more than a dozen first responder calls.
Swanson says there were no overall trends with the calls, but the poor weather and dark skies seemed to result in a few more incidents than normal.
