Work upgrading L’École Cote-Du-Soleil has wrapped up. The provincial government contributed $2.8 million to do seismic upgrades at the school.
District Secretary-Treasurer Sylvain Allison says the work included some demolition of four classrooms and reinforcing walls. He notes the greatest benefit out of this is improving the safety of students.
He says they aren’t using the funding to upgrade the school’s capacity but are focusing on student safety.
The work began in the spring this year and wrapped up in November.
