Next year’s Powell River logger sports will be the largest event of its kind in 2017.
Logger sports made a triumphant return to Powell River for the first time in a decade this summer. Spokesperson Laura Passek says there’s some exciting things in the works for next year.
She says TSN has also approached organizers about broadcasting the competition.
She notes they’re going to have 12 Canadian championships and 5 World championship competitions.
The 2017 logger sports will be taking place July 14th to the 16th, with the carving competition taking place beforehand.
