Powell River City Council is moving ahead with a demolition order for a property on Joyce.
The owner had approached council at its meeting last week to discuss a possible extension to June.
Mayor Dave Formosa says council came to the conclusion that the requested extension was too long.
Back in December, council issued a 60-day deadline to have the property cleaned up before the city would move in and do the work itself.
That deadline is up February 15th.
