The Mayor of Powell River says the new library is progressing nicely.
Chief Librarian Terry Noreault appeared before council late last week to update council on the new budget and the progress on the new facility.
Mayor Dave Formosa says the work on the building is going well, and council was provided with a budget update with the new, larger space.
Formosa says they are still targeting to have a May opening for the new library.
