The City of Powell River’s financial plan is being forwarded to council for consideration.
The finance committee this week approved sending the budget to council for consideration.
Councillor Russell Brewer says a lot of work was done by staff to try to maintain existing service levels while also including some increases to planning support and HR.
Brewer says the biggest change was the decision to make an offer to purchase Lot 450, which bumped up the proposed residential tax increase to 2.6%.
The financial reports are available on the city’s website.
The budget will come before council for discussion May 4th.
