The dilapidated buildings on Joyce Avenue are being torn down today, Thursday May 11th.
A release from the city late Wednesday stated that the remediation of the buildings has now been completed, which included the removal of vermiculite insulation and other hazardous materials.
The site is expected to be cleaned up and work complete by the end of the week.
According to the city, the owner of the property will bear the costs of remediation, demolition and site clean-up.
