With funding from the Province North Island College is going to be able to provide more seats in their medical assistant program.
N-I-C spokesperson Susan Auchterlonie says they have just gotten 143 thousand dollars in extra funding for the program that started in September.
Aucterlonie says program grads are easily able to find work in the local area as there is a high demand for health care assistants.
