IIOBC Looking Into Events Leading to 2015 Death of Sechelt Man

A dispute between the Independent Investigations Office of B.C. and Vancouver police, that’s been simmering for months, will be heading to the province’s Supreme Court.

That’s after the Independent Investigations Office filed a petition with the Court asking for an order to direct an officer to speak with them.

The police watchdog is trying to unravel the events of an incident that led to the death of a 33 year old Sechelt man but the police don’t seem to be cooperating.

An unarmed Myles Gray died following a violent incident with Vancouver police back in 2015 and there were no witnesses to the encounter except for the 8 officers involved.
