• Contacting friends, family and supporters by phone, social media and email and inviting them to make a donation towards your fundraising goal so you can be freed from your kennel!

In 2018 the BC SPCA:
• Rescued 21,808 injured, homeless, neglected and abused animals (companion, farm and wild);
• Provided free or subsidized spay/neuter for 9,163 community animals

• Found new, loving families for 14,379 homeless animals
• Operated 44 locations: including five hospitals/clinics, 36 branches, Wild ARC wildlife rehabilitation center, the Provincial Call Centre and a Provincial Office
• Reunited 3,255 lost animals with their anxious families
• Operated the BC Pet Registry, British Columbia’s first centralized database for pets. More than 83,007 animals have since been registered since April 2015
• Conducted 8,009 new cruelty investigations
• Removed 1,087 animals from dangerous or neglectful situations through formal cruelty investigations
• Provided humane education programs to more than 12,000 children through school presentations and animal clubs; offered summer camps for nearly 1,650 children; engaged nearly 7,000 youth through the BC SPCA Kids Club and provided resources to 5,300 educators

Your supporters can make a donation by:

• Visiting your personal webpage. All donations made online to your page will receive an e-tax receipt. Incoming donations will also be reflected in real-time on your personal page, so your supporters will be able to follow your progress and cheer you on throughout the event!
• Making a credit card donation over the phone. If they prefer to make a donation over the phone, we will provide you with pledge forms – please fill out the form completely to ensure a tax receipt is issued. Our team will process the donation immediately, emailing a tax receipt to those donors who provide an email address.

• Donating by cash or cheque. They can provide these donations to you in advance of the event or stop by and see you in your kennel. To ensure cash donors receive a tax receipt, we require their full name and address as well as an email address to send them an e-receipt.
All donations are 100% tax receipt able.
