Work will move forward on a new sanitary main on Joyce.

City council has approved the installation of the new main along the frontage of the hospital property.

Councillor Rob Southcott says the main was supposed to be installed as part of the hospital project.

He says the timeline is still to be determined, but he’s expecting the work to get underway soon as it will also serve other developments in the area. The main will cost $126,000; which will come out of the city’s sanitary infrastructure reserve fund.
