It was a big night in the business world of Powell River this last Saturday.
The Chamber of Commerce hosted the 20th annual Horizon Business Awards at Dwight Hall.
Many local employers were recognized for their outstanding achievements in different fields.
Erick Blaney won the Beautification awards for his impressive job of transforming the Sliammon Convienence Store.
Nathan and Margot Jantz of 32 Lakes Coffee Roasters were voted New Business of the year.
And Ron Armitage, of Armitage Mens Wear, after being in business for 25 years, won an award for customer service in retail-
Linda Whitely of Beyond the Bed was runner up with her unwavering bubbly nature.
The grand finale went to Sam Sansalone, of Powell River Outdoors for Business of the Year.
PRO has been in business for 12 years and Sam has been in the out fitting for many years before that.
Coastfm news caught up with Sansalone to ask how it felt to receive this acclaim….
