Both have Brain Injury Societies that are vying for the LOONIE WARS trophy.
The loonie war is an ongoing annual event in it’s 5th year, bringing in funds for client programming at each Brain Injury Society, not for operations or overhead. Powell River won the trophy the first year but it’s been in Campbell River ever since.
You can drop by their office in the Pheonix plaza, next to Capones and deliver your loonies or checks in person or you may call in with your pledge to 485 60 65

LOONIE wars is going today and tomorrow…. although folks can drop off loonies and pledges on Monday too. These societies both work their local communities to raise awareness of aquired brain injury and brain injury prevention.
