The search for a missing Powell River resident continues in the city today…
Shawn Ian GENTRY was last seen on Sunday, June 29 at 2:00 pm as he left on foot from a family 
member’s residence near Eagle River, Stillwater area.
Powell River Search and Rescue have been conducting an extensive ground search in the area since Gentry was reported missing to Police on Monday. The search continued throughout the night until 4:00 am yesterday.
After a brief rest period, the search continued at 8:00 am with a Search and Rescue team arriving from Vancouver Island. Police Air Services and Police Dog Service also attended immediately to assist with the ground and air search.
Gentry is described as a Caucasian male, 45 years old, 6 feet tall, 180 lbs, with dark hair and dark facial hair. He was last seen wearing a dark colored long sleeve shirt and blue jeans.
