Powell River’s local schools saw a one-day rotating strike, which will be happening again next Thursday, June 5th.

SunFM news talked to Katia Villaneuv, local teacher at Ecole Cote Du Soleil to find out the big issues teachers are fighting for….

Villaneuv continued to say that without a teachers federation, there is no democracy for students in the classrooms.

Further, she said teachers believe the threat of lockout and continued bargaining, to be stall tactics by the government.
