Elizabeth May was in Nanaimo (Friday) to unveil the Green Party s plan to reverse cuts to services and support for veterans.
She was joined by Afghanistan war veteran Captain Trevor Greene, who survived a brutal axe attack in 2006 that left him with a traumatic brain injury.
May says Canadian veterans deserve better.
May says they want to see increased funding so veterans with Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) can have a service dog if they want one.
The Green Party is also committing to re-opening the Veterans Affairs offices that were shut down across the country.
