2 people escaped with minor injuries after a helicopter crash-landed about 35 kilometres west of Nanaimo.
Captain Todd Geunther (Gun-ther) with the Joint Rescue Coordinator Centre says they got the call just before noon.
Geunther says a Comorant helicopter flew the 2 occupants to Nanaimo Regional General Hospital, where they were treated and released.
He says the Safari helicopter was heading out to a remote lake when it went down and the cause of the crash isn’t clear at this point.
