A petition to restore door to door service on the island

A nation wide petition based campaign aimed at putting the brakes on Canada Post plans to axe home mail delivery, stopped in the Comox Valley today (Monday) with union officials setting up shop at Simms Park

Darlene Lawson is the President of Courtenay Local 718, with the Canadian Union of Postal Workers.

 

Lawson says the move to terminate door to door service has yet to happen in the Comox Valley and she hopes the union campaign, along with local political support, will stop that from happening.
