Schools in Powell River are closed today as a result of rotating strikes, and will not reopen until further notice.
So says Powell River School District Superintendant, Jay Yule, who is hoping for a quick end to this. But, what if the strike does continue through the summer?
As for the current school year, the government has promised that students in grades 10 thru 12 will write exams and recieve report cards, while the BC Labour Relation Board has ruled that teachers must hand in final marks for Grade 12’s by next week.
