RCMP are urging drivers to use caution over the holiday season.
RCMP Constable Rob Gardner says a new study highlights the stats of crashes that happen in British Columbia in December.
Gardner says in the past 5 years, there have been an average of 4 deaths per year in the month of December.
He adds there is an average of 13 people per year (over 5 years) that are killed in crashes from impaired driving.
Gardner says there are multiple fines for driving under the influence, and notes you should have a safe ride home or place to stay if you plan on drinking.
