Texada Island residents are raising concerns about the change in service with the Queen of Burnaby out of service.
The Queen of Burnaby has been pulled for repairs, so the island is being served on a modified schedule and by water taxi.
Georgie Childress says a lot attention has been paid to the impact to Powell River, but not many are talking about the impact to Texada residents.
Childress says she’d like to see better communication between BC Ferries and island residents when there’s going to be service disruptions.
