VEX robotics competition in the Comox Valley this weekend

The Vancouver Island VEX robotics competition goes this weekend in the Comox Valley.

Students from across the Island and lower mainland will be taking part.

Teacher Steve Claassen says the students are given pre-fabricated parts and have to come up with a design. He says there’s certain criteria they need to follow.

Claassen adds 44 teams from across Vancouver Island and the lower mainland will be competing.

The students will compete through the day tomorrow at G.P. Vanier in Courtenay. The winners go on to the B.C. Provincials.
