A group of concerned residents will be appearing before council this week to discuss the issue of bus service to Vancouver.
Daniel Rajala says there’s been no service for the last six months, which has had a big impact on residents.
He says many members of the community feel as though buses are an essential service: some people can’t make it to doctor’s appointments, and cannot visit family over holidays because of the lack or bus service.
Rajala adds it has an impact on the Powell River tourism industry as well. The group of Powell Riverites will be appearing before council on Thursday.
